We have an amazing update about the progress of the Building Bridges campaign! Landmark Fine Homes has officially broken ground on the new Student Center at Bridges of Moore Village, the heart of our ongoing project to build housing and expand support services for Moore Public Schools students living alone.

Building More Than a Building

The Bridges of Moore Village isn’t just about housing. It’s about creating a safe, stable place for Moore Public Schools students who don’t have one. The Student Center will serve as the hub of the entire campus. It will include a kitchen, laundry area, meeting and lounge space, and offices for staff who will help students navigate everything from homework to life skills.

Landmark Fine Homes, a longtime community partner, is building the Student Center at cost as part of their commitment to giving back. Amy Reeves, owner of Landmark Fine Homes, said it best in an interview with KOCO News:

“We have the gift of building, and we knew we could give back to the community by building the student center.”

That spirit of generosity and community support is exactly what’s driving this project forward.

A Community Coming Together

At the groundbreaking ceremony held October 6th, leaders from Moore Public Schools, the Moore Public Schools Foundation, and Bridges of Norman joined donors, partners, and community members to celebrate this major milestone.

Dr. Robert Romines, Superintendent of Moore Public Schools, spoke about the growing number of students in the district who are facing housing insecurity and how this project will provide stability and hope.

Stacy Bruce, Executive Director of Bridges, shared how the Student Center will truly bring the vision to life by offering daily support, meals, and community for students who are working toward graduation while navigating really tough circumstances.

Why It Matters

Before 2020, fewer than 10 Moore Public Schools students were identified as experiencing homelessness. Today, that number has grown to more than 200. The Bridges of Moore Village is being built to meet that need, providing safe housing and wraparound support for students who want to stay in school, graduate, and build a brighter future.

When it’s complete, the campus will include 10 duplexes, two resident advisor homes, and the Student Center that Landmark Fine Homes is helping bring to life.

The Moore Public Schools Foundation is proud to partner in this work through the Building Bridges Campaign, which continues to raise funds for the construction and furnishing of the homes.

Looking Ahead

Construction on the Student Center is now underway, with completion expected in 2026. When it’s finished, it will stand as a symbol of what’s possible when our community comes together — local builders, donors, and partners all investing in the next generation.

Thank you to Landmark Fine Homes for putting your hands, hearts, and hammers to work for Moore students.
