Foundation funds are derived predominantly from two sources, private or corporate memberships(contributions) and member fundraising projects.
Once funds are obtained, they are conservatively invested with private sources. Income from this basic and growing fund is used to fund foundation projects.
The Moore Public Schools Foundation for Academic Excellence currently has assets valued in the mid six figure range.
Our expenditures are from asset income only. This year we will be able to award grants totaling in excess of four thousand dollars.
The foundation funds grants to teachers in the Moore system. Grants are awarded on a competitive basis for novel projects that are beneficial to the system's academic processes, but are not funded by the Moore Public Schools.
